Ink Hound T-shirt
Wednesday, January 14, 2009 9:08I’ve found a great new teeshirt resource, called Ink Hound

So they are one of these you vote, the winner gets printed, gets a couple of dollars for each shirt sold, type places – nothing very new there. In their own words:
“Ink hound sets itself apart by offering limited edition hats. For the first time artists will have the ability to design a full hat with screen print and embroidery options! All hats will be limited edition and individually numbered.”
Hmmm, hats I can live without.
“Featuring only one user-submitted and community-chosen hat and shirt design for sale at a time. No catalog, no distractions, one limited edition design. Compensating artists $2 per item sold with no cap and giving artists their rights back at the end of the selling period.”
That’s cool.
“Using clean printing techniques with organic inks and offering Organic Tee options. Also, a portion of each sale will go to charity.”
As I seem to have committed myself to buying organic t-shirts, this is good news for me.
But the real winner here is the T-shirt wearing community – the design that caught my eye ‘The eights’ is by j3concepts and it’s bloody brilliant: a solid combination of excellently subtle colours, strong design elements and a proper sense of what looks good on a tee.
Also, ink-hound has a cool logo.
