Hot Tee for Cold Weather

I’ve always been a closet fan of Enclothe tees, whose founder is a 3D animator and generally quite a cool person. Their aesthetic (and yes, that’s exactly the word they’d use themselves) is a deconstructive one, digging into the relationship between news stories, urban myths and great design and using technology to give extra value to their clothing. And yes, if you are thinking that it sounds a bit pretentious, maybe it does, but it works.
The thing is, most of us own at least one T-shirt that has some ironic pun-related statement about the way the world is. Enclothe go that bit deeper to sell you a tee that doesn’t just make a statement, it asks and question and answers it too.
Look at this, for example. Glorious artwork – really good, solid, well-designed graphics with a brilliant understanding of colour and form. For that alone it’s a T-shirt worth wearing, but the tee itself is called 451.

I’m betting I don’t need to spell it out for you, but just in case – Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper burns, and the title of a famous book by Ray Bradbury. And the salamander on the back – well, in the Dark Ages, people thought salamanders were born out of fires. So clever, so very clever.

Hello teejunkie;
Just a quick note to say I really like your writing and your attitude; slightly intractable, cheeky and very charming. Can I send you an “incorrigible” Uppityshirt (suits you) to say thanks for the effort and keep up the good work?
Cheers-
