After all the fuss about Aretha’s Presidential Inauguration hat and her singing, I wanted to applaud the Queen of Soul for the contribution she’s made to T-shirt culture.

RESPECT and all that. So I went looking for a tee shirt with Aretha on it – or even two teeshirts, if you get the joke. But there wasn’t a single bloke’s T-shirt to be seen. Or a double one, come to that.

What I did find was this Firetrap teeshirt dress, which any man would be pleased to see his date wearing. Firetrap was set up in 1993 and has been a solid performer in casualwear, especially the jeanswear section which regularly produces sharp styling at basement prices. Weirdly, Firetrap themselves no longer sell this, but you can get it from Box Clothing. Get her one for Valentine’s, why don’t you?

And I thought it was a great hat. And there was a great deal of Aretha under it.
