Giving it up for Lent T-shirt

What I’m giving up I’m not saying. However, this may be a clue. Today’s featured Tee comes from ‘I’m a Hot Tee’ which was set up very recently by some people who wanted to counteract the mean-spirited messages on many T-shirts with their own cleaner humour. Quoting Mike and Sarah, the founders ‘This made us go “w00t” and “yay.”’ Fine. Whatever.
There’s a cool programme called Hottee of the month, where they do interesting things, and they’ve got the YouTube marketing bit really sorted, compared to other companies who seem a bit static in that area. But none of that matters compared to T-shirt design quality, and humour is a hit or miss business. The hoverboard one left me cold. The jetpack one is okay – a good graphic with nice colourwork, but the stunner, for me, is the iGroan which is so stonking brilliant that even the fact that they haven’t got a proper photograph of the T-shirt isn’t enough to stop me wanting it. I defy anybody to wear this and not see grin after grin on the faces of people walking towards them. Good clean humour sometimes works!
Post by Mikey who says humour, not humor and keeps getting corrected by the spellchecker …
Oh yeah – somebody asked why I hate Etsy – because what could have been an anarchic centre for new forms of creativity has become like a wholefood cafe full of yummy mummys who do a bit of ‘craft’ on the side. Does that answer the question?
