Mother’s Day T-shirt
Thursday, March 12, 2009 9:2422nd March 2009 is Mothering Sunday, what the UK calls Mother’s Day. It always falls on the fourth Sunday in Lent In the USA it’s the second Sunday in May – two nations divided by a common desire to make money out of every possible occasion right?
Anyway, mothers, in general, don’t get what they deserve. A box of garage forecourt chocolates or a naff bunch of supermarket flowers don’t cut it. Real men (and women) give their mothers real gifts. This T-shirt is not just an appropriate present, it’s a keeper – raspberry pink, so it’s not garish but nor does it suggest your Mum’s a geriatric, it has a riff on a vintage brand logo that is witty without being tasteless, and it’s classic enough for Mum to be able to wear it to salsa classes or bowls club or whatever it is that Mum does now you’re not her full time occupation.

The sizing might be a bit iffy. MoreTVicar says the tee-shirt comes in:
Small – to fit chest 30-32
Medium – to fit chest 32-34
Large – to fit chest – 34-36.
Now forgive me, but I think most mothers come in more ample sizes than that. Still, if yours is a slimfit style Mum, then £18 for a quality tee is a fair deal for the woman who gave you life, so be nice, buy her something special.
