Easter is something of a bitch, in my opinion. It has bad weather (most of the time), too much chocolate of the ‘minute on the lips – lifetime on the hips’ variety, and no good parties. So when it comes to bunnies, baskets and the general Easter brouhaha, I’m not a big fan.

Eggs though, I like. Boiled, over-easy, sunny-side-up, devilled: all that good stuff. So, purely by accident, I came across this website that sells houses for rabbits and chickens and what have you, (don’t ask me why I was looking up chicken houses, it’s too long a story and very boring) and it also sells first-rate T-shirts with eggs on.

The color is the first thing that made this teeshirt a stand-out for me. It’s called aubergine and it is aubergine (which is what British people call eggplant – go figure!) It’s not purple or brown, it’s aubergine (eggplant) and it’s a beautiful shade that works fantastically with the colors of the design, giving a strong contrast that isn’t at all garish.

The second thing that makes it fave is that fact that it’s 100% organic cotton which is good for the planet, and the third thing (as if you needed one) that made me smile is the image, which is as strong a design as I’ve seen since the Rolling Stone Lips first turned up on T-shirts. Omlet have a range of egg related T-shirts on offer, although this one is the most iconic and the price is competitive, for such an eggstra-special tee (sorry, couldn’t resist the pun!)
