Cycling T-shirt
Wednesday, July 8, 2009 15:12Mikey’s got the Tour de France bug, and watching the scenery, and all those fit and sweaty men, has given me something of an interest in cycling too. But finding something to wear that looks good and has a cycling theme … not so easy.
Eventually, after looking at a lot of wicking dayglo nastiness (what is it about bikes that sends everybody color-blind?) I came across Terry Bicycles which was actually set up by a woman, remains run by a woman and seems to understand what women want in the way of clothing. The woman is Georgena Terry who set the company up in 1985 and is a mechanical engineer. She may or may not be a great engineer, but she does pick an extremely good T-shirt.

Evidence for this claim comes in the shape of this elegant scoop neck Tee in three colours: natural, moss and bark. Instead of being gaudy, glowing, geeky or just plain garish, it’s a stylish design, married to a good shape of t-shirt to give all women (not just the sporty ones) confidence about wearing a bold design image across their frontage. At $28 it’s also a really good price for a 100% organic cotton T-shirt with a bit of extra length to give it a really nice drape. And maybe it’s just me, but doesn’t that bicycle look a leetle bit French?
