The ‘I’m okay, you’re okay’ T-shirt

I don’t know how everybody else feels about September, but I find it a difficult month: kids go back to school, Christmas stuff appears in stores (and what is that about, it’s still three months and more away?) and the weather becomes unpredictable.
September is the time of year for black teeshirts, there’s no doubt, because they look good in sun or rain and if you can get a T-shirt with an image that earns a smile from people that you pass in the street, it’s good karma for you and for them.
This Das Monk Tee is a beauty. Or possibly a beaut, as it’s from a Australian designer, Marc Hendrick. Das Monk is defined by distinct prints that call upon art music and pop culture generally – there’s always something eccentric about the images which give them extra eye appeal. Clearly other people appreciate them too, because you can find them around the world, not just in Australia, but also the USA, Canada and New Zealand. The latest collection is called Midnight in the Mojave and features a range of psychedelic designs inspired they say by ‘… bad trips, drifters, and desert dreaming in the middle of nowhere’. I’m much more inclined to the AOK shirt though, because it has a quality of bright optimism that we all need to get us through the bad months.
AOK is not the cheapest T-shirt around, but I think a Das Monk tee is well worth the investment if you like fall clothing that brings you good cheer.
