The ‘not your average sheep’ T-shirt
Thursday, October 1, 2009 10:37
Electronic Sheep is not really a T-shirt label, because its creators: Brenda Aherne and Helen Delany, have a big thing for knitwear. If you grow up in Ireland like they did, it makes sense to focus on woolly knitwear because it’s a damp old place, with harsh winds, draughty houses and a lot of sheep. Nuff said?
So anyway, they grew up next door to each other, and formed the Electronic Sheep label in 1998. On the website they say they were inspired by a question from Blade Runner – ‘Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?’ – p’raps somebody should tell them that it’s the original title of the short story by Philip K Dick that the film was based on. P’raps not. It doesn’t affect the way they design T-shirts anyway.

Today’s pick has two key features – nice image and great colour. Although the close up is in black, my fave is the light green version because it has a very Irish feel to it, like springtime on the hills, and also because I am pig-sick of black T-shirts right now.
Pricing is not bad at 20 Euros and just think how many leprechauns you’d be keeping in business by buying one. Well none actually, but it’s a nice idea …

Hi,
Recently we created a T-shirt shop. I hope you can visit and see if you like and help us to promote it:
http://imperioromano.spreadshirt.net
Imperioromano Shirts, T-shirt shop is housed in spreadshirt.net, the idea for the store comes from several readers of imperioromano.com/blog (blog that publishes daily news about history and archeology), who thought it would be nice to buy T-shirts with history as main theme for the moment there are still 3 designs but we have prepared 10 more to go. The link is from the blog imperioromano.spreadshirt.net but also we will be announcing new developments go up.
We hope you enjoy it. Greetings from Barcelona!
