Sometimes an entrepreneur also has the soul of an artist. Mark Capicotto might be that man. Since 2005 he’s been producing the most beautiful teeshirts, full of heart and colour, and with a rightly, brightly, youthful vibe that can’t help but bring a smile to your face. And his line is called Glamour Kills.

This little piggy is the Glamour Kills icon – he flies, he smiles and he’s been around since the first T-shirts were printed in Mark’s basement. What I am loving about this image, apart from the longevity, is the way that the overprinting isn’t dense so you get a lovely marl effect coming through the printed over-colour from the fabric beneath – it gives a subtle impression that is often lacking in long sleeved teeshirts which, all too often, look like you managed to get a billboard impressed on your front in some kind of freak traffic accident. This is the kind of garment that a teen can wear with attitude and a grandmother can sport to a coffee morning and get complimented on. Good clothing works for all ages and pigs can sometimes fly.
