The ‘What nobody wants for Christmas’ T-shirt

We all know what people want: world peace, a decent job, to meet somebody who loves them totally for what they are and doesn’t start strewing scatter pillow around the flat the day after they move in …
But there are things nobody wants for Xmas: genital warts, a redundancy notice and – identity theft.
In the week when the cosy British world of boots and shopping has been rocked – well, maybe just shivered a little – at the news that over a thousand online shopping sites have been closed down for selling counterfeit jewellery and Ugg boots, here’s a T-shirt that captures the angst of the Xmas shopper.
You can find it at Riptapparel, which is a site that regularly produces topical T-shirts with an edgy feel, and the designer is called ‘fallen’. From the Philippines, this guy or gal says their inspirations are van gogh, basquiat, jeff sotto, joe sorren etc.
Not actually much evidence of those artists in this T-shirt but it’s a good strong image with a real message – be safe online people! As far as I’m concerned, it beats the hell out of cuddly Santas and grinning elves.
