Belle and Sebastian snow T-shirt

We seem to be inundated with good British T-shirts right now – where are the American T-shirt brands? So, Mikey tells me that Glasgow is a place that gets a lot of snow (as, right now, is Florida – wtf?) and I wanted a T-shirt that featured snow.

Belle & Sebastian are from Glasgow, and their music is that kind of groovy wistful stuff that you play when you’re watching snow fall outside the window and you’re indoors and warm but alone … know what I mean?

I fell in love with this T-shirt because it features a fox against a snowy background which is cool, but also because the white T-shirt is used to create the impression of snow rather than doing something tacky on a darker background, it’s one of those ‘less is more’ designs that work better than more fussy images. And the price is pretty good at £15 plus postage, which is not that many dollars if you’re having it sent to Florida so you can wear it over your thermal underwear as you build a snowman next to the palm tree! Mikey also tells me that this woman is wearing traditional Scottish headgear known as a tam (perhaps it’s mandatory, I can’t see why else she’d put a potholder on her head) which is good to know, I suppose.
