April’s finest silent movie T-shirt

So it’s not exactly a wide field in which to be the monthly winner – but this etsy-located T-shirt is based on the Fritz Lang classic film ‘Metropolis’, is available on in green, and has a great two-colour design that works for everybody except maybe ginger types and fat bastards, as it’s one of those semi-fitted tee blanks that doesn’t suit the fuller figure. So, at $22 I think it’s a steal.
The designer is Chris Stevens, currently residing Vancouver WA. He trained at the Graphic Design program at Seattle Central Community College but says he got some of his training from comic books too – that’s a pretty good sign in my book. Also he says he’s influenced by Japanese prints and Radiohead which is a generous combination of style and insanity.
What I liked here is the detail – it’s a good blend of intricacy and boldness that fits neatly with the two-colour basis for the shirt.
