The cold one, the scuzzy one, the one with the fish and chip shops and the two piers – well only one now, but whatever …Famous for its pavilion, gay pride weekend and being the home of Peter Andre, whoever he is.

Well, Brighton has this new shop, calls itself an emporium (which is either very grandiose, or totally satirical) and has some excellent merchandise. I’m powerfully won over by the Beach huts T-shirt, which is a shame, as it’s out of stock. On the other hand, the B-right-on hoodie is extravagantly good and I guess it’s £50 from the price of the others.

Artist Anon B-right-on HoodieThe photography on this site is impressive and I like the grittiness of the approach and the lack of verbiage, that’s refreshing. A better inventory process that kept stuff in stock so people could buy it, and put prices on other things so people could by them, would make this a pretty special new venue. As it is, if you want to buy their stuff, get yourself down to the south coast and eat the fish and chips.
