I don’t know if they have koalas in Brisbane, but if they do, the floods might be sending them a bit mental. This one, from laFraise.com, has a stupid hat and a luger. I don’t know why it appeals to me, but it does. This time of year makes me appreciate the quirky nature of some designers and their weird minds.

LaFraise is one of those places where ‘the community’ votes on submitted T-shirt designs and the top ones are printed in limited edition. It says its Europe’s largest ongoing T-shirt design competition online and who am I to argue? The hoodie is 32 Euros and as a point of interest, the green base colour is not one you want to be wearing if you’ve drunk too much the night before.

The LaFraise ‘cool for cats’ T-shirt

It’s not often I get totally blown away by a tee, but this one did it. That’s partly a joke, btw. Only partly though, because from its clean lines, to its excellent noir film homage right through to the sweet joke in the dialogue box, this is a T-shirt in a million. LaFraise have really pulled something special out of the bag here.

The colours are perfect for the impression it wants to create, the off-centre image is suitably sized and located to draw the eye and to add to the general noir impression of the garment and, like I say, the joke is lol.

Generally I find French T-shirts a bit weird – either they’re naff or they’re too whimsical, sort of like anime with a garlic dressing, but this one … this one’s my favourite of the autumn. Imagine it under a winter jacket. Bloody awesome.
